The Arke Console is the result of a raw and intuitive assemblage of industrial elements.
Six vertical aluminium beams create a stable base for two horizontal beams forming the top of the console. A stainless steel rod pierces the vertical beams in their center, holding in place the top part with the help of two large rubber bands.
This rudimentary association contrasts with the precise craftmanship that such a simple piece requires. Indeed, the more essential the work is, the more apparent the mistakes become. The hand-brushing of the aluminium accentuates this constrast and provides subtle color changes depending on the orientation of the beam towards the light source.
